Greetings from the Mississippi Association of County Agricultural Agents:

As current president of the Mississippi Association of County Agricultural Agents, I want to thank you for visiting our web site and for your membership and interest in MACAA.  I currently serve as the one and only Extension Agent/ County Coordinator in Lawrence County, having both ANR and 4-H responsibilities.    Lawrence County has diverse agricultural production with forestry being the top agricultural commodity with poultry and beef production closely following.  In addition, the county also has catfish, corn, cotton, soybeans, peanuts, truck crops, and two greenhouses generating ornamentals and tomatoes.  
The Mississippi Association of County Agricultural Agents is the state’s professional organization for Extension professionals with ties to Agriculture and Natural Resources.  MACAA functions to award professionals for their achievement and supports professional development and improvement.  MACAA is affiliated with the National Association of County Agricultural Agents found at and supports national level awards, scholarship, and professional improvement.   

Members are encouraged to stay connected to both MACAA and NACAA through their web sites, and electronic mailings.  Please consider nominating or encouraging your peers to apply for the many award and leadership opportunities these organizations offer.
